87 plenum on 89 GTA...which slp runners to get?

Well the title pretty much says it... I have an 89GTA but my plenum is a ported 87 or 88, so I don't know if I should get 85-88 slp runners or if I should still get the runners for 89-92. I don't know if the year of the plenum makes a difference in which runners to get? Thanks for the help.

did you run it yet? I know the 89 will not work right on the older cars but, I think the 87 will work on the 89 just want to know. like above you only need the 85-88 runners if you have a cold start inj. other wise the 89-up

So your TPI base is 89 and your plenum is 87 or 88? If that's the case get the 89> runners.

If you just have a TPI system out of an 87 or 88, then get the <88 runners.

You are, after all, bolting the runners to the TPI, not the car. The year of the base is what matters.

Ok thanks guys that's what I thought. I have an 89 base in my car so I'll go with the 89 and up runners.

You're going to need a cap to block off the CSI line on your fuel rails. I'm heading to a place today that's got them (I've gotten a ton of requests from guys on corvetteforum.com), and if you're interrested in one send me an email. Accel gets $60 for a kit, and because you're getting new runners, there's no point in paying that much just for a threaded cap!
