I'm not 100% sure of this, but there has been an ongoing discussion about this in my post about the plenum being a bottleneck or not.
What I understand to be true (which could be very untrue
) is that the Edelbrock base is "good." Then the TPIS base is the Edlebrock base ported out by them for approx $100 more. Then you have the Accel Superram Base which is supposed to be a completely different cast but better than both and potential to blow the other two out of the water if it is ported out.
Now to tell you what I bought... I bought the Accel Superram base due to the research I have done which I just outlined above. I bought SLP runners in the interest of cheap price, and because they tend to produce quality pieces. I have found that people tend to think the SLP runners are very good, but do leave room for improvement if you have porting capabilties.

Holley Stealth Ram http://community.webshots.com/photo/...41861647kByQcT it's was like $450 it has a mad powerband.
I know all about Millican and his LT1 intake. He lives across town from me
The goal is to get my car as fast as a LTR setup will go. I'm running 13.5 on STOCK runners and a ported base. I have seen a guy run 12.7 on aftermarket runners and base, no power adder. Just want some opinions on who's LTR parts are better.

I researched all of the different TPI setups too, and I settled on the accel base with SLP runners for the same reasons as L98IROCZ89. When I did my research, I found that most people here said that all the bases are the same, but on corvetteforum.com it was a totally different story. After finding the accel base at cruzinperformance.com for only a few bucks more than the edelbrock base from anywhere else, I decided that there was no reason not to get the accel.

i also agree about the accel base...whne u got someone like lingenfelter workin on something u know its gonna be good...the only problem if there is one is the cost....the accel base goes n e were from 350-400 bucks then u got another 350 for the slp runners...if u want to stick LTR then is definetly the way to go...but if u want the most bang for your buck then the lt1 intake will deliver...its 400 bucks and will flow the same if not more then the accel/slp combo....

Yes... I bought my Accel Superram base off of EBAY from Cruizin Performance for $405 shipped. The SLP runners were $259.95 shipped to my house. TPIS and Superram Runners are more like $400. Thats why I went with SLP runners after dropping 405 into one of the better manifolds.
