junkyards are a rarity. gm doesn't have them anymore. i even checked their storage company for slow moving parts and they were out.
i hear s-10's can be used.
i got mine from ebay for 45 shipped off of a camaro.

I found one.. no, it's not for sale!
A guy, I think Mark Shields, had his brother fab up a plate to make the heater/condensor box into a heater-only box.

I cut the fiberglass AC box in half, just on the drivers side of the blower motor & fabbed & riveted a sheet metal duct to direct the air into the pass compartment. The case part# is 3056659 & the gasket is 3048270 for 84-92 models. They are both discontinued from GM.

WOOHOO!!
I found one in a junkyard that is 2miles from my house.
It was a b!tch to get out because of one bolt.
Not bad for $20.00 with the blower motor. The motor won't work with the harness my car has, so I will tell them it doesn't work and get my $15.00 for the motor itself back!!

Hey, i'm pretty sure that you have to adapt you factory harness to the connector on that box because the A/C box blower motor wont work with the non a/c box.....
Email L9T8Z about it from the mfba board, he'll let you know

Hey,
I actually havn't gotten around to wiring mine up yet, but the problem is the A/C motor's fan is longer than the non a/c model. YOu MAY be able to swap fans on the actual motor.. Give it a whirl, or maybe I do. when it gets cold out.
which.. will probably be in a few weeks.
freaking new england.

I noticed that the fan is longer on the A/C model too.
Another interesting fact is the model I have was manufactured by Hurst, as in transmissions!! Has the logo molded right in to the plastic!
I'm going to check Autozone to see if they might have a non-A/C blower motor with the weather pack connector.

Went to Pep Boys and picked up a Siemens blowe motor for an A/C car. The design is a little different, allowing the fan from the non-A/C motor to fit.
I will be installing the box and fan tonight to see if it does work.
