IAC Questions please help

I had a thread on the Tech/Engine forum (MAF code) and marin said my IAC might be stuck. What is a IAC, the purpose, location and how to check. Thanks in advance for any advise and help.Would it cause a code 34?

i can tell ya where it is, thats about it.
it is on the left side of the throttle body, directly below the TPS.

IAC is Idle Air Control. It adjusts a valve in and out to alllow air to flow through and control the idle speed. If your car is not idling right then it may have a problem.
