does relocating the MAT do anything for MAF cars?
last winter i relocated my MAT in my 89' coupe. to my dismay, the kit from TPIS didnt supply enough wire to reach my airbox, so i plugged it into the air inlet tube ahead of the throttle body. ever since i did this mod (along with an airfoil and a 160* stat), ive had a rough idle and can feel it throughout the rpm range. so ive been thinking of putting the MAT back into the stock location. does relocating it to a cooler place really do anything for MAF cars? would i notice a difference at the track if i put it back to stock? alot of people say they noticed their cars became really consistant after relocating their MATs, currently mine is also, and i didnt want to affect this. thanks in advance

The 160 tstat is probably the culprit. ECM is designed to go into closed loop at around 185 degrees. More likely than not, it's switching between open and closed loop as the stat open and closes causing the rough idle.
