350 Roller Cam Blocks- What vehicles Were they used in?

Yup- just tossed a rod in my 305. Anyway- did the roller cam 350 blocks only come in F bodies and 'Vetts, or did they come in trucks too? It's time to scour the junkyards.... Oh well... At least the world has to deal with one less 305

Yup lots of trucks came with them. I think they started going roller a bit into the 90s with trucks as opposed to 87. My block came from a late model pickup or something similar.

I believe all blocks from 87+ were roller blocks. I don't think that the trucks got roller cams until the Vortec motors came around in 96, but the blocks were still equipped for the roller cams.

I'll find out for certain in a few weeks. My brother is giving me a 350 out of his 87 Truck. I've been holding off buying the cam until I know for sure.

It is good to know that the newer trucks have roller cams. I pulled an'87 truck engine a few years back - it did not have a roller in it. I can't remember if it was equipped for it or not. I have an older 2 pc rear main block- it's too bad it doesn't all interchange!!

I don't expect this one to have a roller cam in it. I just hope it's machined for it with the taller lifter bores and the holes for the spider assembly to mount.
