LT1 Intake Conversion with Corvette Engine Covers (pics)
LT1 Intake Conversion with Corvette Engine Covers (pics)
I got a chance to test fit the LT1 intake to my corvette covers today. I had make a little room for the distributor (passenger side cover) and a little room for the adjustable fuel pressure regulator (driver side). No modifications are needed on the driver side cover if you're using the stock LT1 fuel pressure regulator. The only thing I'm not sure of is how the TV cable will fit in there (don't have the 1993 bracket yet). The stud holding the cover in place may contact the TV cable. If so, I'll come up with something to make it work.
The covette covers hide my fuel connections nicely.

I hadn't planned on buying the covers until I found out how much they cost from http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/
Studs (10108672) $2.10 (you need 4)
Left Fuel Rail Cover (10208794) $20.17
Right Fuel Rail Cover (10208795) $20.17
So that's $48.74 plus tax and shipping.
Do a search on google.com for "lt1 rails corvette covers". You'll see some conversions there. I'm using -6AN fittings for fuel and was able to hide my connections under the cover. You'd have to cut part of the driver side cover for fuel line clearance (see pic below).

I'm really not sure. When I picked up the complete intake from the wrecking yard, it already had an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. I cleaned the outside of the regulator (then paint) and polished the top. Actually, I don't plan on using that one...I have a TPIS adjustable regulator (from eBay) on the way. I'm willing to sell the one pictured for $45 shipped (but first I need to make sure the TPIS regulator clears ok - I'll know that this weekend). If you're interested let me know.
