i swaped from tbi to tpi everything is working but i can not get a spark. i replaced the ecm thinking that was it but it wasnt. does any one have any ideas im all out for now. please help soon.

 

are you getting power to the coil?is there power coming out of the coil?have you replaced the ESC(electronic spark control)?have you tried putting on a new cap and rotor?new plugs?

You didn't swap in a VATS equipped (89 up) TPI setup did you?

 

We got it fixed, the problem was a dead ignition module. We swapped in an 88 TPI setup, which did not have VATS. We tried the original TBI ESC module, as well as the TPI ESC module. Finally, AJ 92 RS suggested we have the ignition module tested at autozone. The TBI one which we were using tested dead, and the TPI one tested fine, so we put it in, and viola, spark.
