Good weld-in 8 point cages?

I saw in jegs they have custom cages. I wanted to get one but I still wanted to be able to keep my T-tops in the back. Does anyone know if these cages don't let you keep the t-tops in the back?

Also, how much should I expect for a good install. Cuz I don't know how to weld.

Thanks a lot guys.:hail:

Jester just put an SW cage kit in his car. He didn't like the fit much, some of the problems were unique though because he's 7'2" though

Here is my S & W kit. I am very happy with it. I have yet to install the forward bars though, but here it is currently.

Yes it is an S & W , I used the forward bars for the rear. I did not like the way the short bars ran above the gas tank. There was no way for me to keep the back passengers even remotely comfortable. I ordered the forward bars that allow you to also keep the factory armrests. Hopefully this answers your question.

Thanks for all the replies. I think I will also get the S&W kit. Can you still get the swing out option and keep the door paneling?

Like Ed said I just put in the S&W bar. I did get it to fit right, but it took days of extra work that it shouldn't have. I'm not 7'2" or anywhere close, just 6'6". Ed just thinks I am because he doesn't like to admit to himself that he's a midgit. Would rather think that just because he looks me in my belt buckle I must be a giant

Seriously tho, in my best estimation, you will not be able to use this cage without modifications if you're any taller than 5'10", maybe less. It doesn't clear any farther back. I had to bend and notch to get it about 8" further back from that to be able to use it.

Plus, every piece was too long needing to be measured, cut and renotched to fit. since I don't have a compound chop saw or a tubing notcher, that was a serious problem. Basically, everything they did, I had to re-do the hard way. I would have been better off just buying the required steel stock for 40 or 60 bucks and making my own from scratch.

Custom fit for thirdgens my a$$.
