I just got back fromt he track, 14.4 @ 97mph w/ a 1 second R/T and a 2.4 60/ft.
It feels good to go half a second faster than my last time at the track. Mods are in the sig.

5SIZ,
What kind of tires do you have? That 60 foot time isn't too good! But 14.4 with 93mph is pretty good. You see these guys are running .1-.2 slower with 2-3 more mph. Get that 60 foot down and you're in the 13s easily. Sub 2.0s and you could take almost another second off

5SIZ, what other times did you pull for the day? Also did you let up before the traps? I think the computer gave you the wrong MPH. 14.4@93 are perfect numbers, but on a 2.4 60' you ethier got the the wrong mph or 60'. One mod for you ET STREETS!
I only say that because I work at a drag strip and know that computers malfunction and all thing said and done dont jive.

I'm gonna change the ripped+broken plug wires and ignition to MSD stuff this weekend. I'm running on 7.5 cylinders right now.

I know I have terrible 60 ft.s I need to learn how ot friggin launch my car better, it bogs down off the line because I try to feather it to the point wher it won't burn out everywhere but at the same time it will hook up good, int he end when I take off the car almost dies on me LOL.

Yea my friend has drag slicks and I'm thinking of taking them out for a spin to see how I do.
I ran a 14.4 at 94mph with street tires, REALLY BAD TRANNY(t-5) bad coil and leaking spark plug. This was also done with 3.23 rearend, So far i replaced the plug and coil, got Nitto Drag Radials, Rebuilding my WC t-5 and soon to install a 4th gen 3.42 rear, I should hit mid to high 13's

I raced and beat a few LS1's but they are always catching me by the end of the quarter. My 100 MPH quarter finish seems like I am standing still when they are running 107 - 108 MPH.

I've got a '91 Formula 5sp/305 3.42 with homemade CAI with pullies, N10, 3 inch cat back Dynomax, Jacobs Ultra Team, some plenum work. I installed LCAs, panhard, wonderbar and STB. The car pulled 260hp/336lbs torque on the dyno with this trim (see sig).
I just picked up a set of 3.73s. I'm shopping for a ZZ4 cam, headers and am sending my (GM 081) heads in for 1.94/1.6 valves, springs and some heavy hog work. Going to leave the TPI alone. I think it is a pretty safe bet I'll see 1hp per cube after the mods I am doing this winter.
Curious -- did you flowbench the Vortecs before installing them ? Did they have any work done to them ? Are you going to upgrade your ignition ? What about gears ? I was thinking you have 2 or 3/10ths tied up in ignition and gears ?
thx,
RP.

Yes, I did flow check the vortec heads, they have been cleaned up but not heavily ported. The intake flow was 246 CFM at 28" water and the exhaust was 170 ish at 28" water. I was thinking of going to 3.70 gears and I am running a stock ignition.
