For stock, or aftermarket?

If you want aftermarket you can get a capacitive discharge ignition box like the MSD 6A(l) or crane/malory units.

For stock the only other component Is the ignition module, which you dont usually replace unless its bad.

I was wanting to go with aftermarket.
Im thinkng MSD 8.5 plug wires.
MSD Blaster coil
MSD Distributor Cap and rotor

whatelse?

The coil I got is the little coil with the plug wire connection and the 2 connection for some kind of I guess computer wires. Whats the difference with that compared to the say BLASTER 2 coils?

From http://www.msdignition.com/1msdcoil.htm

There are several versions of the Blaster Coil available. All of them have the same internal specifications, but have different housings or components. Each Blaster Coil can be used with a stock ignition, Blaster Ignition, MSD 5, 6 or 7 Ignition Control.

BLASTER 2 AND 3 SPECIFICATIONS
Output Voltage: 45,000 Volts Maximum
Operating Voltage: 12VDC
Primary Resistance: 0.7 Ohms
Secondary Resistance: 4.7K Ohms
Turns Ratio: 100:1

He's on the TPI forum so I sure hope he has TPI....

and for plugs, plugs are plugs unless they're platinum or *gasp* +4's/split fires.

bigals87z28,

I paid $152.06 tax and shipping... It wasnt that hard to line up the 3rd point I just had someone help me line it up and mark it to drill the holes.
Hey my 1/4 mile times are just about like yours...I would think I would be faster with all the little mods Ive done but I guess the 273's are killin me. ive also been told the the 273's 1st and 2nd gears are faster than 342's but what do I know...

That was my first time racing and I was so imbarassed with my R/T....but oh well got learn/start sometime....Im #702 on the slip....
