cam choice...
What would you guys recommend(for a cam) in a mild build up L98 with vortec heads/tpi base, AS&M runners, hooker supercomp shortys, custom prom, 2000-2200 torque convertor, and suspension work (LCAs, Relocation Brackets, Torque Arm, Panhard Bar)
I already have frame connectors, K&N, 160 Thermostat, no cat, 24 Lb injectors on the car and the heads are waiting for everything else.
I was thinking of the LT1 cam or maybe the LT4 cam (not the hot) but was thinking that these are dialed in more for the short runner design of those intakes. Not sure if they'd be optimal in my LTR setup.
I am looking for something around the .450 - .470 lift...with plenty of duration? Dual pattern?
Someone I know dynoed a stock rebuild 350 yesterday... with vortec heads, Performer RPM intake and 600 CFM Holley, cam was @ .460 lift with 225 degrees of duration @50...he made 382 HP and 420 ft.Lbs of torque....the heads were untouched.

DO NOT SPEND EXTRA ON THE LT4 if you look at the numbers the LT4 only gets a little more duration the extra lift come from 1.6 rockers. That could save you $50 to 100
