Porting L98 Iron Heads

I have two concerns about porting stock 1987 L98 Iron heads.

Are they more prone to cracking? (They'd be professionally ported)

Are any modifications necessary to install the LT4 HOT cam kit with L98 Iron heads? I really don't know the difference with heads that require self-aligning/non-self-aligning rockers, harndened guideplates, etc, etc.

To Safely Use the Lt4 HOT cam, you should have the Valve Guides Cut Down to accomodate the .525" lift.

Additionally, Might as well have the Spring pockets cut To use the larger OD springs instead of the Cheapo Lt4 Springs.

More prone to cracking as opposed to what? Unported heads? Unlikely. Most heads either crack the valve seat, or iron L98 heads like to crack the spot between the spark plug and water passage.
