Car Wont Start!!!! HELP!!!! Intermitten annoying problem keeping car from starting.

Ok since I got my new motor in my car has an intermitten problem where it wont start. Its like its not ANY fuel, cant smell any or anything even if you crank it for 5 minutes straight.

I have noticed that if I disconnect my fuel lines from the fuel rail (have the LT1 intake with quick disconnects) fuel will come out of the line, and also fuel kind of pumps out of the rails. I dont know the exact fuel pressure but it is pretty high judging by how it sprays durring the second after the line is disconnected.

Heres the wierd part. If I put the line back on ....the car starts

WTF could it be

Some other info that might be usefull is that sometimes it bucks on acceleration. I thought it was my TPS so I replaced it and set it rite and it helped the bucking MOST of the time, but it does still buck just not as often.

I don't know what the answer is, but I've got the same problem. I was going to check the timing if I can get a buddy to join me in the cold. I'm just going to try turing my distributor a lot and see what happens. I would think that it would still start, even if the timing is waaay off. I just finished doing an entire intake gasket R+R on my TPI because a lower manifold gasket needed to be replaced.

See if you can get your hands on a fuel pressure gauge, and check the pressure. Even if your pump is priming, you need to check the pressure and see if it is holding. You might have a bad check valve on the pump, or you might have leaky injectors that are flooding your car's engine. After you get a gauge, keep it connected for a while and make sure the pressure hasn't dropped. If it drops, kink one of the lines leading the rail, and see if it drops, then kink the other line and see if it drops. One line is the fuel in, and the other is the return. If the fuel in line is kinked, and the pressure doesn't drop off, your check valve is bad and you probably need a new pump. If the return line is kinked, your Fuel pressure Reg might be leaking. If you kink both and it still bleeds off, you have leaky injectors.

Well, thats one test. Hope you figure it out.
