engine miss?
Can anyone help me? My 87 GTA with 5.7L TPI has a miss.
It idles OK, but when I give it even the slightest throttle it misses and feels like it is going to stall. It misses from idle to about 1500-2000 RPM, where it seems to clear up. The problem gets worse when the engine warms up. It has already stalled a couple times when giving it throttle when backing up in reverse. I have Edelbrock TES headers, chip and a thermostat already installed. I am waiting to fix the problem until I put the SLP runners, cold air kit and ported intake/plenum on that I have. By the way, the miss was already there before I started doing any modifications. Has anyone had a problem like this that can help me out?

You should start with a tune up. If that doesn't help then you need to start testing your ignition system. It'd also be a good idea to ohm out your injectors. Are you getting any codes?

I already installed new AC plugs, AC cap & rotor and Taylor wires. It is not showing any codes. I was thinking either injectors or some kind of sensor might be the problem.

First off, do you have a timing light? this way you could confirm whether it's really a 'miss' or not. Make sure you check each cyl. with it as well. Welcome BTW!
Good luck.
Good luck.

I'll get on that and let you know what happens next.
