Whats a good Torque Converter for a 305 TPI...

Hey

I have a bunch of mods planned for this springs, One of them is a new TC. What is a good TC for a 305 TPI. I can get a genuine GM 2000rpm TC for a good deal. Would that be a good TC for a 305 TPI. Any suggestions.

Thanks

2400 at lest any thing lower and you'd be wasting time and money. I got a 3200 for my 350 swap and I'm going to see what it does in the 305 though.

A lot of guys use the S10 converter. This is the same converter that the vettes used, and is also either the same or very similar to what the 85 TPI f-bodies used. Obviously it'll stall at a lower rpm on a 305 than it would on a similarly modded 350, but unless your 305 is pretty wild, I doubt you'd want to stall too high anyway.
