TPI Plenum ?
TPI Plenum ?
would a ported plenum with a 52mm TB provide enough airflow for a mild 383? Peak power comes at 5500 rpm on this motor, but I am wondering if what I've got done is enough, or if there are mods I can do (that don't include buying a stealth, super, or mini ram intake) to help it out a bit top end for this motor?

Word.
On a 383 I would as far to say that a fully ported TPI plenum and base with aftermarket runners would just barely get you by.
I think you ought to reconsider the Stealthram/Mini/LT1!
The stock TPI is just not cutting it modified or not.
BTW - an aftermarket TB* cost almost as much as a full Stealthram setup =)
*and is NOT going to help either!

have you considered the aftermarket TPI manifold base's available (e.g. Edelbrock, TPIS, etc)? the manifold ports are much bigger than stock, and would mate well with aftermarket runners (e.g. SLP) and your ported plenum.
but this is nothing new, recognizing this is an old thread.
