Does the stock coil on my GTA mount on the fire wall or is there a bracket that mounts on the intake? Thanks in advance for the tips. Drive on...........

If it's like my car was, it connects to the egr solenoid near the distributor hold down bolt on the side of the intake, which connect to the intake. If you don't have an egr solenoid, well..then like me it just floats around there somewhere

 

All FBodies with a remote mount coil will use a bracket that's mounted to the manifold using the last two bolts on the passanger side.

 

All TPI f-bodies with the remote coil...

TPI, TBI and carbed use the same setup. Why do you think only TPI's are mounted that way ???

 

TBI remote coils are mounted to a seperate mount cast into the manifold. It locates the coil directly between the TBI and the distributor and slightly to the driver's side.
