rezinn - thanks, I hope you're right - thats what the tech article said but I was unsure if that applied to all the thirdgens, anybody else know for sure?

Palric - the minimum air setting that is set by the torx screw, you know, lowering and raising the rpms.

vwdave - WTF is your problem? I thought it was pretty clear what I was asking - is there another minimun air setting?

No problem, I am just a wiseass by nature. In my 5 years of working on cars, I have never heard of that.

You mean idle speed. Just call it that. If my friend didn't have my manual, I would tell you. I think 500-600 would be about right. (Thats where mine is.)
