I think bang for the buck means different things to people of different means; But, from where I come from the best bang for the buck on that Lb9 would be a set of headers. Another great bang for the buck would be a supercharger- bigger bang and bigger buck.

Full tune-up if you haven't done one. All of the free mods, and then I would agree with the headers. You can find more ideas at the thirdgen.org homepage under tech articles.

definatly headers and a good flowing exhaust. maybe intake and cam. Might not hurt to have some drag radials either.
I know people usually overlook this when thinking about "performance" mods, but if you are serious at all about this car go out and get some subframe connectors. Just about every car I've ever seen whether its a hard top or T-top has developed stress fractures from the frame tweaking under hard acceleration, and thats on stock motors. It was the very first mod I did and in my opinion it is the best starting point. More power will only lead to more frame problems. Weld on subframes are best. If you have T-tops go get some immediately.

Yes sir Sub-frames! Cheap, and cheap to have installed, and abso-freakin necessary. They are my next mod, as I was "forced" into souping up my 700R4 after it threw up all over itself during a race.

Well guess what ?! Some guy ( before I owned it ) had the tranny mount bolts snap ( the outside ones on the tranny crossmember ) So .... he cut a hole in each side of the subframe......and drilled new holes ( so he could "pop" new bolts in) . The thing is ....those factory bolts are in a plate ( displace pressure through the suframe) welll..... this new " fix " just had the bolts "popped" through the holes ( with no washers or anything !!!! ) ......well I have "torn" them through the chasis .
Moral of the story is ................ get you SFC's NOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
definately on my list of to do's come May 1 ( along with a total frame repair, etc ) .......Totally done right !!!!!!!!!
