sorry no pics, I recently bought a lap top for my DFI and to run the LS1 edit program on, and the software for the camera isn't supported by windows XP. The guy that did the work just port matched to gaskets and port matched my baseplate, not a bad way to spend $250. If anyone has a set of LT1 heads needing attention, I'd let this guy take care of them. He takes pride in what he can do with a set of those. If anyone is intersted i'll be more than happy to give you his number.

WOW . You spent 250 dollars for someone to port match your heads and base . That seems really high in my book . You could have bought a brand new snap-on die grinder and bits , and still had money in you pocket .

he ported the heads to match bigger intake gaskets and opened the exhaust a little, and then did the baseplate to match, not just matching the heads to the baseplate. Even if it seems high, it was worth it to me to have someone who does it every day who knows what they're doing. I'm not like some people, just because someone has the tools to do something, doesn't mean they know how to do it.

Its more beneficial to do bowl work on vortechs instead of gasket/port matching.

I don't know but a 30 to 40 cfm gain seems benificial to me just from gasket matching.

I just called my buddy, the engine is on a stand in his garage. The bowls have been worked on as well. Of course, then he called me an "F'in" idiot for thinking the guy who did the work just gasket matched. Excuse me!

Well that changes things a bit. I thought that sounded high for gasket matching but then again I have never had anything flowed before.
