What is the cc on stock 305 heads??

I was just wondering what the cc is on stock 305 heads. I put on some of those world products torquer 305 heads w/ the 58cc chamber and i think i lost some compression points w/ these heads. i can't figure out what the new compression is because i don't even don't what the dish cc is on the stock pistons. has anyone put the WP heads on there 305?, if so, how did yours work out. Mine seem to work fine, but i ran into a problem with my computer and its burning more gas in the cat than in the engine, so i'm trying to get that fixed. If any one can spot me some info, that'd be great

I am pretty sure (almost positive) that your stock heads had 58cc chambers as well. Your stock compression should be around 9-9.5:1.

Yeaaayyye!!!!!!!!!!! I tell you what, even if your pretty sure, that certainly sounds good. its just that before i installed them, i was doing sort of an eye ball comparison, and the WP's looked a little bigger. Oh, here's a kicker, the stock heads are tbi heads. are those different?

Yep stock 305 heads are 58cc.

Good modification from the stock TBI to the World Products heads, from what I hear stock TBI heads suck

I think TBI and TPI heads are both 58cc.

yeah, i'd just rather have a higher compression (doesn't every body). it'd work better for my application. can't wait to et it running back to normal(sortof) again. cam, heads, intake swap has cost me months of time and money, but it sure is gonna haul . But now i gotta get it tuned. Thanks for the info guys. More info welcome.

Tunedport 335... what all did you need clearanced to put in your stroker kit. I'm looking to go a little wild with my 305 as a first time engine project just for the hell of it, and looking to bore it .060 over and put in a 3.8" crank and be a happy little 345, but just curious on what i have to worry about as far as clearencing goes.

1.Head Chamber Volume 58cc
2.Head Gasket Bore (in)
3.Head Gasket Thickness (in)
4.Piston down from TDC (in)
5.Volume above piston (cc)
