What cam?
I need some cam suggestions. I'm working with an 86 T/A, WS6... The engine is a 4 bolt main 350, non-roller, L98 heads, basically L98 specs... I'm looking for about 350hp with nearly stock idle, that will cooperate with the computer and TPI. The car will be running some aftermarket pieces, etc... So where do I start to select a cam?
the best advise i can give you is check out this website http://www.davidvizard.com/camshaft.html
Drew; try calling TPiS or checking out their website...the guys there are very willing to sit down and chat.
FYI the cam in my 305 is 210/220 .500/.510, and runs great w/ TPI. I'm sure it's too small for the 350hp you want though.
Say, have any more intersest in parts? I think I'm going to sell my SLP runners and headers in you're interested...

I would vote for the lt4 hotcam but since u want smooth or almost smooth idle i guess that wont work. (ic an vouch the cam will hual some @$$ with it though)
My other choice when i did my car was a comp cam for tpi/lt1 engines with 210/220 w/.510/.510 on a 114 LSA seems like that would put u more in the direction of what u r goin for and should didle significantly better than the hot cam due to the wider lsa and less duration, which should make it way more computer friendly owing to the fact that u r working on a maf car.....
and please check out the prom burning stuff u would be amazed at what u can do witht idle and stuff if u play around and take some time to learn it
