Engine: Carbed '79 350 block, 360hp/380ftlbs (flywheel)
Transmission: 6speed from an unidentified 4th gen. ask me, ill tell you.
VIN code for 350 TPI
Where in the VIN number on a firebird can i find out if it is a 350 TPI or 350 TPI Formula??

Engine: One sweet modified 355 TPI.
Transmission: The kind that shifts....
C4 is correct. The engine number is the 8th digit, and it should be an 8 for the 350 engine.

is the L98 the best of the engines ?? Is that what is in the formula firebirds??

Formula's as well as TA's came with 5.0 or 5.7's. You need to look at the vin to see what's there. Options options options from the factory.
