EGR was disconnected w/no codes?
EGR was disconnected w/no codes?
Is this possible on a 88TPI? Mine has always been disconnected and I get closed loop operation but no trouble codes. Should I get a code...I mean the solonoid isnt even there but the valve itself is but not connected to a vacuum source. any Ideas?

Could just be dumb luck. 32 only sets under very specific conditions, which is like very steady state cruising in a pretty narrow range of speed (like 45-65 or so IIRC) for a few minutes. So if you don't do long highway drives with the cruise on, you might never even get into a situation where it got checked. Or some other dumb luck.
My solenoid was gone and the valve was not functionaland i never had a problem. Now that i rebuilt the motor I am having EGR issues. Guess that is just one more reason to start burning my own chips.

mine will only set the code 32 on long highway jaunts at steady speed. mine is all hooked up and functional, but i think my cam and intake mods may flow enough more air that with teh stock chip the computer cant tell that the egr valve is open, so it sets the code.
