I don't know what the MAX is, but I know that my '87 which has Accell base, AS&M Runners, ported plenum and a Holley 52mm Throttle Body and I can pull up to 5500 RPM. I have never taken it past 5500 (too scared). When I dynoed, my peak of 349.6 TQ was at 4100, but at 5,000 RPM, I was at 275 ft/lbs at the rear wheels. I'm loosing 75 ft/lbs of TQ from 4100 to 5000, but I can tell you, driving it up to and past 5K, it doesn't feel like I'm loosing it. It revs freely and pulls respectivly.

I've been claiming at least an additional 500 rpms over stock with siamesed runners and a matching base and plenum. Thats about 5300 compared to stock, so I'll concur with GMTech. AS&M runners are siamesed deeper than mine, though, which could account for a couple hundred more rpms.

My AS&M runners are not siamessed.
