Cold start injector question...

I was thinking about this this morning... I just ordered a crate motor from SDPC (360hp 350 with Vortec heads and their Vortec TPI intake manifold) and rembered that 1988 TPI systems still had the 9th cold start fuel injector. I also ordered SLP's intake runners for the '88 model just because that was the year of my car... hopefully this was not a mistake. I don't know if the runners have anything to do with the cold start injector or not.

Now. I'm only getting 8 Ford racing injectors... does anyboyd know if:

1) The SDPC intake has the provision for the 9th injector?
2) Is there a way around it if it does?
3) Does the year of the intake runners have anything to do with their functionality with the intake? (SDPC's website days any year runner stock or aftermarket will bolt right up)
4) I read that the later ECM's got around the need for the 9th injector by spraying a fine mist of fuel from all 8 injectors as opposed to using the single injector by itself. I'm ordering my ECM from Fast Chip on Monday... can I have them program the ECM to do this and get around the cold start deal?
5) Did I create a huge problem for my mechanic by ordering the wrong parts?

SLP offers a plug for the ninth injector. At least they use to. Ed write will probably disconnect the ninth injector in his progam any way. Any year runner will work. No your machanic should be able to handle this with no prob. If he can't he should not touch any cars. Just my .02

Thanks for the info. Jimmy has an entire wall at Goodyear dedicated to his ASE certificates so I think he's got it covered... I just didn't know if I had all the right parts in the mail.

I was not bustign on your machanic. Sorry if that is how it sounded. Sound like you have the right parts to me. Good luck
