Fuel Pressure Problem
Fuel Pressure Problem
On a 89 GTA with a 350 TPI, The car will not start unless you spray staring fluid in the TB and it will fire up, On the fuel rail were the scrader valve is you can press it in and there is no fuel coming out, Could this be a fuel pump relay, or fuel pump problem? Any info or suggestions would be great, Thanks, Jason

My car is doing the exact same thing.... I think the problem is either the fuel pump or the fuel pressure regulator, I'm not sure which... You can test the fuel pressure on the fuel rail with the key on, and then with the car running. You need to remove the vacuum hose from the regulator to get an acurate reading. Should be about 44 psi for a TPI system.
My car shows about 22 PSI with the key on, 44 PSI when running.
