Distributor gear
When installing the gear on the main shaft, does it matter which way it goes? One hole has a 'divot' below it. Do I line this up with the way the rotor points?
The reason I ask is: it appears that the way it's installed will determine the rotor's position in relation to the cam. Does it make enought difference to matter?
I hope this makes sense

Shouldn't matter at all.. The dist. aligns with
the oil pump rod and cam gear for timing
and engagement, so there's no relationship
if it's on the dist. shaft 180deg one way or
the other..
