swap your TPI for my Edelbrock setup? or am I dreaming?
swap your TPI for my Edelbrock setup? or am I dreaming?
anyone interested in a trade? I'm looking retrofit a TPI setup from like an '87 Iroc into my second gen z28- I'd need everything- would be willing to trade my modestly used Edelbrock Performer intake, Edelbrock 650 cfm 4 bbl carb, distributor with Accel supercoil (if necessary), and mostly, if not totally complete underhood wiring harness from an 80 Berlinetta, which would aid in hooking this system up into your car, maybe some cash too?
The perfect tpi setup would include the intake, plenum, runners, throttlebody, all sensors, wiring harness, computer, and the plastic/rubber air intake piece that fits on the front of the throttlebody, and the distributor, if necessary (and anything else that I may have forgotten to mention)
I'll put this same message up on the 2nd Gen website, as well.
if anyone's interested,please email me @

I wasn't sure a person could dream while on crack
Maybe I should explain myself though,
A used setup as you are looking for, goes for about $400...
Your parts new, cost about the same...I think you'd need to kick ina some green on the deal.

Besides, I just sold my 92 sd TPI system with computer and dist for 300. No wiring, but everything else.
My buddy has 2 almost complete TPI setups. Their only missing the expensive parts: ECM and wiring harness. I know he wants to get rid of them for cheap, so I'll give him a call tomorrow and see what he wants. I'll post back here when I find out and see if your interested. Sound good?
hehe
believe me- if i could afford it, id buy an aftermarket tpi setup in a heartbeat! besides, this is my first tpi setup, and i wanna make my mistakes on a cheap set! lol
That sounds good Shpook- lemme know what you find out, and thanks!

My girlfriend's uncle strips third gens and Montes for a living, buys em up and tears them apart. He gets $400 for the whole setup, wiring, computer, etc etc.
