tbi swap to hsr
tbi swap to hsr
I would like to swapfrom tbi to TPI on my 89 chevy c1500 truck. It currently has a 350 that is stock. What would it take to swap a holley stealth ram with a TPI wiring harness and a 90-92 SD computer. Swap out heads and throw in a cam. I know I would have to buy some sensors. Holley complete kit with computer cost $2282 from jegs (http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommer...770&prmenbr=361).
I think I could build it for less. The manifold cost $279 and fuel rail for $218 from thunder racing (http://www.thunderracing.com/index....categoryid=1125)thanks like $500 for intake. Add a $100 for computer, add $290 for a painless harness, $200 for a chip, $200 for sensors and misc. your talking $1300 for a system that can support 400+hp. Any thing that I am missing here or overlooked. Let me know your thoughts.
