I've been told they would work, only the lock wouldn't fit. I believe someone told me you could expand/lengthen the grove in the LS1 injector and the locks will work fine. Then again that's what someone told me, I believe I asked it once before myself on these boards. I plan on using them

Let me set the record straight here on LS1 injectors.

First of all, LS1 injectors are flowed at 58psi.

The MY98 LS1 cars had 28#/hr injectors (@ 58psi),, these same injectors at 43.5psi (3rd gen pressure) will flow about 24#/hr.

The MY99, 00, 01? LS1 cars have 26#/hr injectors(@ 58psi),, these same injectors in a 3rd gen will flow about 22#/hr.

The MY02 LS1 cars went back using the MY98 injectors.

Also, FWIW, I would not buy used injectors,, if you need different injectors, buy them new. I have seen many posts about someone buying used injectors and getting unknown junk.

I have LT-1 injectors that are used and I know are good. My engine outgrew them and I am selling them.

and if i get an afpr, i can regulate the size of the injector, right?

These injectors are all interchangable as for as fit is concerned (to the best on my knowledge). And, yes, an AFPR along with a fuel pressure gauge will help you tune in a proper flow rate for your specific needs. Your fuel needs are dependent on your car mods.

24#/hr LT1 injectors or MY98 LS1 injectors might be a good choice for the 350 vortech, while 24#/hr SVO injectors might be a good choice for a 383 with increased fuel pressure.

YES.

You should have a logging device as well as a fuel pressure gauge.

But the LT1 injectors with an AFPR should do the job for you.

BTW: you might run out of fuel at WOT, the stock fuel pump is marginal in our cars. I had this issue with my car,, finally I had a garage install the factory fuel pump for the TTA in my gas tank. I found out that I was running out of fuel because the fuel pressure would drop suddenly at WOT at high RPM.

I ran LS1 injectors on my Stealth Ram for a while, no fitment problems at all. I ended up with Ford blue-tops but haven't sold the LS1s yet, want to see the output spray cone shape compared to the Fords and L98s...suspiscion is they shoot a wider cone, given their placement much closer to the intake valve on the LS1 intake.

It's on my to-do list, nothing to suggest anyone shouldn't use the LS1 injectors but the throttle response just didn't feel as crisp as with the Ford injectors. I hope to collect the spray pattern and some engine dyno comparison data this season, will post it if/when it happens.

I'd be interested in seeing that. I replaced my LT-1's in favor for Ford reds (30 lbs) after reading numerous posts about the SVO's.

The LT-1's fit in the TPI rail perfectly. If anyone wants them make me an offer. I've only had them in my car a short time. I bought them from a friend with a 4th gen that had aprox. 20K on it.
