Hi all I have 89 T/A with a gm goodwrench 350 engine. It originally had the 305 tpi engine, The guy i bought the car from had the 305 injectors put on the 350. He had a fuel regulater put on also.My question is can you adjust the fuel regulater higher to match the 350 injector pressure?Do i need to buy 350 fuel injectores?Any info would be apprieciated!

The fuel pressures are the same weather it's a 305 or 350.

What you really need is a set of 350 injectors, they are rated at 22 lbs. The 305 injectors are rated at 19 lbs.

If all you have is 305 injectors and can't get the right ones you could swap to an adjustable fuel pressure regulator and increase the fuel pressure to compensate.

If you can run 58psi fuel pressure on the 19#/hr injectors, you will flow 22#/hr,, same as stock 350 stuff.

hahaha

if you would flow 58 psi on your injectors you would need a new fuel pump every week.

max fuel pressure before the fuel pump will crap out prematurly is 50 psi and thats eging it, unless you have an aftermarket hi flow pump.

In a MAF car like yours, it comes down to this. The injectors have to match the chip. Engine size doesn't matter. If it has teh stock 305 chip, it's set for 19s, so keep them. If it's a 350 chip, it's set for 22s and you should swicth.

Or you could get the 22# injectors and reprogram your computer.

Easy to tell what chip it has. Just drop the ECM from the passenger side dash, take off the wondow and look at the chip. It'll have a 4 letter code on it. Search on that code or post here and you'll know what it is.
