305 needs power
I know this has probably been asked to death but anyone have any suggestion on building a TPI 305. I looked into doing a 350 swap but everyone around here has done it to death, i wanna be alittle different. im looking to get into the 300's in hp and toruqe just so i can have a little fun with the lt1 and ls1 (and honda civics just for a kick), so any help would be great. if it helps i have to stay street/emissons legal....and if anyone has any info on supercharger kits that would be great thanks

Get the 335 stroker kit from www.enginekits.com. They say you can gain up to 115HP additional. If your running a 305TPI anyway. Then begin a little work to open up your plenum and runners. Let the engine breathe.
I've considered those mods myself. Hoever I think it's more cost effective in the long run to do the 350. In the short term the 335 Stroker is an attractive option since I already have an engine in great shape with less than 100,000 on the odometer.
Since my target HP is alot higher than 300-350. It would be too hard to do if I kept the 305. Hope this helps.
Consider these items as well when deciding to keep your 305 or not.
