Real world stealthram track numbers inside
Ok. so my friend has a 1991 Z28 with a 350 TPI. Mods include
K&N airfilters, airfoil, flowmaster, gutted cats, and a rebuilt tranny with a 2400 TCI. Oh yea it has 160,000 miles on it.
TPI STEALTHRAM STEALTHRAM WITH TUNING
60' 1.84 1.96 1.94
1/8' 8.83 8.90 8.80
MPH 77 78.5 80.58
1/4 14.3 13.98 13.75
MPH 96.3 98.5 101.28
Tuning is just some power enrichment tuning by me
for him. I still WILL go 11's with TPI NA but it makes me think.

nice numbers! Even as a bolt on piece, the HSR gives more than simply bolting on aftermarket runners and base.
Now after reading both yours and essam's post, I can't wait to get my car on the road!

Great job on the tuning! I'm getting antsy to burn a new chip too.
My torque converter is going in on Thursday and I'll have more track #'s Friday night. We got the TV cable fixed too so it should be awesome.

I just got done doing the TPI to HSR swap.
91 GTA, KN, MSD, stock exhaust manifolds, flowmaster, and LT1 cam (cam was done for ****s and giggles when I did the intake swap)
with the TPI I ran a best of....
14.12 @ 96 mph with a 2.00 60ft on street tires (NOTE: this was in very cold tempatures and car running extremely well with the TPI setup....1/4 tank of gas and all accessories)
with HSR I ran a best of...
13.95 @ 97 mph with a 1.9 60ft on DR (NOTE: this was in warm weather and the car running very rich with a lot of spark retard....full tank of gas and A/C delete)

It was lean on the top end so I simply added fuel and made the spark a little more aggresive via the chip.

NufNuff, I sure hope you're right about the drag radials. I'm going to come out of the hole like a nasty bitch, praying for a 1.69 60'. Probably not enough to hit the 12's without the new chip and headers though.
