Injectors.....and why they go bad.

Not so much talking about clogged injectors or bad gas. What is it that will make an injector over time go bad beyond repair and why?

Like anything mechanical and or electrical, they just plain wear out. You have a solinoid that energizes and deenergizes millions of times over it's life which moves the pintle up and down in the housing. Movement=friction=wear=breakage

I wonder if a clogged or even slightly "dirty" injector would cause greater stress on it's solenoid, causing that solenoid to fail sooner?
