hey how you doin!
great site helped me out alot even before i joined.
OK heres the problem:
I got a BBK adj reg. for free gor my 89 tpi 5.7
It is a low milage motor an old man had taken care of
now i put new gaskets on and cleaned and painted a few things
I install new o-rings for fuel rail and this regulator
when i goto put the plenum back on it wont fit the nut on the regulator is hitting it right between the vacuum ports.
Im lost at what to do i could put the old one back on but can i be the only one this every happen to

Welcome to the boards!
The problem your having is pretty common. You can try one of 2 things.
1-Screw in the nut until you have enough clearance to put the plenum back on. Start the car and check the fuel pressure... If its around where you want it, or lower, then your good to go.
2- With the screw as high as it can go, if you have too much fuel ressure, then your going to have to cut the screw down some. DO NOT CUT INTO THE PLENUM. The plenum is not very thick so theres no point in doing that.

I too had to grind a slot into my plenum to make the AFRP screw fit. I only had to dimple it, not hog on it.
Don't you love buying parts made for a specfic application that DON'T fit?!? Yeah, me neither...

thanks ill try it 2night but one last thing is screw all the way in boosting pressure or all the way out boosting pressure?
