Canister question

Ok I put my old TPI setup back on to sell the car and I have a question.

On the charcol canister I have a line that goes to no where, I hear this is normal.

But, it is sucking in air. I thought it was an vent. Do I have somehting mixed up?

If I plug it up with my finger the engine goes crazy, reving up and down and such.

I dont think its affecting anything .....I HAD the car ideling great but it was pinging when I gave it alot of gas. So I took some timing out and now I cant seems to find an idle, so I put it back in....and it cant find an idle. Mabye it has to do with the chip I altered in between.

But anyway, on the canister, is this normal?, I wouldent think I would want un metered air entering the system.

No, it's not mormal. Check to see if some sort of hose is just lying around that connects to it or there is somewhere that it connects to. My guess is it just came loose somehow.

The yellow goes to the side of the TB
Blue goes to a hard line located near the steering column.

If it is what I am Thinking The upper hose goes to the side of the TB.
The lower hose goes to a hard line located next to the steering column

on my 90 Iroc G92 that hose is not there. It looks just like yours and all but there is no hose connecting to that
