Can you delete all the air injection/smog crap???

Well, my friend wants to go with some headers and a y-pipe but doesn't have the $$ for the air injection headers. Emissions are no problem around here, so we will take off the cat also no doubt. He has a 90 IROC L98, ported heads, SLP cam with juts a Dynomax catback now. Any suggestions would be great, including best headers for the $$ and etc. Thanks!

yes he can get rid of the smog (A.I.R.) crap. he still has to keep his O2 sensor though. as for headers, slp or hooker super comp shorties.

If you wanna go crazy, get the LT Hookers. You will need to have an O2 bung welded to it though. And you will need to reroute your accessory belt, I needed a longer belt when I eliminated the smog pump. 968K6 was my belt size...

It won't cause any codes. The ECM only sends a signal to the air pump solonoids, it doesn't get any feedback whether it worked or not so it will not cause any problems what so ever.

Yes, thats the EGR valve. You need to leave that on unless you burn a new chip or you will get an error code.
