Regulator Help...

Well, I almost have the car started. I am having a problem with the fuel pressure regulator (I think). I have fuel pressure before the regulator, none after. I am running the stealth ram with the AFPR that cam with the kit, the engine in the sig. I did not do anything to it when I installed it. But no other electrical problems so far, injectors have power, car cranks, and has spark. What do you guys think?

Do you have a fuel psi gauge on the rail? If so, what is it reading?

I am getting no fuel through the regulator. Would this happen if I had the regulator on backwards?

Did you replace the reguator recently? I would ask around if it is possible for it to be stuck. Can you hear the fuel pump come on when you put the key in the ON position? You should hear a quiet humm sound for aprox 2 seconds once you turn the key on.

Thanks for the replies.

Yeah the fuel pump works, had fuel spray me when I disconnected the regulator from the fuel line. The fuel rail however was bone dry. I am using the Holley regulator. I swapped from TBI to TPI so this regulator is brand new. I took it off today and the adjustment screw was turned all the way to the right (clockwise), could that be my problem?

Well if that is like other regulators, then turning it fully C/W is maxing it out and the pump may not be able to supply enough pressure to overcome the spring pressure. Try putting it in the middle and see if you get fuel past the regulator then.

It almost sounds like you have the fuel lines hooked up backwards. Judging from what you said above it seems you have the supply line hooked up to the regulator. The return line should be hooked up to the regulator.

fuel problem

since were on the fuel subject.... I just dropped in my new 355 zz4 everythings on but the pulleys. I turn the key on, and blew a fuel hose. replaced it, no my fuel pump wont stop running!!! there are no leaks. when i listen at the motor it sounds like fuel flowing inside the intake. I thought maybe have leaking injectors but there new 24# SVO's. the fuel pump kicked off before i replaced the line WTF!!!!

If it is a tpi car, the fuel pump will always be on when the key is in the on position. If this is the case, I would bet your fuel psi regulator has a small hole/tear in it.
