It's Alive!!!

Just started the new engine (engine in the sig), after I got the regulator problems sorted out. Sounds awesome, I have just the shorty headers on right now so it is pretty loud. Now just to get the rest of the interior together and the engine broken in, then its off to the dyno/track.

But think I am having a problem draining my battery. Could the hatch light being left on for ~3 days drain a battery?

Glad you got her running! So were the fuel lines reversed, or was it something else?

And yeah, 3 days with the hatch light on will definitely kill the battery...I accidentally drained mine in 2 days by leaving the hood light on.

Yeah you were right. Thanks for the help, it would have taken me a while to find that problem. I swapped from TBI at the same time and that’s how they are on a TBI car, supply on the drivers side and the return on the passenger. Switched them and the car fired right up.

I posted this list in another thread but I think it will be useful to those swapping to stealth ram. This is what I did for fuel lines:

3 Aeroquip -6AN Straight swivel fitting = $17.97 ($5.99 each)
1 Aeroquip -6AN 45 degree swivel fitting = 16.99 each
1 Earls Hard tube adapter -6AN to 3/8" = $9.69 each
1 Earls Hard tube adapter -6AN to 5/16" = $9.69 each
1 Aeroquip -6AN steel braided hose 6ft = $27.99 each

Total $82.33

Using these parts I just cut the fuel lines (no need to flare them with the Earls fittings) near the trans and ran them to the back of the stealth ram. You might be able to save some money by replacing the 45 degree fitting with another straight one, but I am not sure how well that would work. I can give part numbers if anyone wants them.

Good to hear that you are up and running! On Esmas' HSR swap we also tapped the fuel lines right near the tranny with Earls hradware, it turns out real nice. As of today everything on my SR 383 is good to go, should be dropping her in on wednesday.

You don't happen to have a timing light I could barrow? The car needs to be advanced a little. Just need to get the interior back in and my exhaust and LCA welded.

I have been trying to get that programmer to Esams but we never seem to be available at the same time. Good luck on the swap.

No I dont have a light. I will be needing one though within the next few days, dont know what I am going to do yet as I dont really want to spend the money on one when I will really only need to set my timing once, if you turn anything up let me know.

Ya well have to hook up for sure about some programming. We have a WB-O2, all I have to do is build up controller box and it will be good to go.

Do you have summer session classes? If so lets meet up at the MU for some lunch some time.

I keep looking for the light, if I can't find one I might break down and by one. I do have summer classes from 11:30am to 3:10pm, with a 10 min break at 1:10. So I never have time for lunch .
