why is this...
scoggin dickey sells the LT1 and LT4 stock grind cams. why are they on rated to make power idle to 4500rpms, i thought the 92-97 LTx series engines made good top end power and red lined around 6k? the reason i asked was because i plan on rebuilding my 305 soon and i was happy with the results of the stock LT1 grind cam (95) and i was thinkin maybe id swap in a stock grind LT4 cam when i do the rebuild.
LT1:
LSA: 114
201/208
.447/.459
LT4:
LSA: 115
203/210
.476/.480
think i should, or would i be better off with a 2032HR cam, zz9, zz4? or just stick with what i have. ive even had crazy thoughts of putting together the 350 i have

is it true that these cams are rated to 4500 only? i question this because the only cars ive heard about falling off at that rpm is the TPI inducted engines. ive never heard about an lt1 with soggy top end.
