Looks like you've got yourself an '89+ TPI (no CSI hole in runners), so you should be able to use any external coil GM distributor made for the '87 and later F-bodies, C-1500 pick ups, etc, so long as you have the harness clips for that style distributor. The coil doesn't have to be anywhere in particular... Distributor hold down clamps can be had from SDPC for about a buck IIRC...

First I would take the whole thing apart and take the lower intake, runners, plennum, and tb to a mashine shop and get it beaded so it will be all nice and clean when u start.

Second you might want to send off the injectors to be rebuilt or you could just buy a new set of accel or ford injectors they are both in the low 200's for a set.

Some of your sensors look to be broken or pretty ruff. If they are broken or coroded i would replace them.

Not sure about the distributer hold down maybe u can use the tbi one?

Do you have the computer and harness if not you will need thoughs.

DOH! Sorry guys!

BTW, unless you get an OEM harness (which can also be found on Ebay), get a Painless Wiring harness. I worked with one of those on a friend's S-10 and it really was painless!!!

is 17087254 actually 17087264 if it is it's a 87-88 305 rail, and it should have come with multec injectors according to my fuel injection specialist manual that came with my ecm & harness, how reliable there charts, who knows

yeah my tpi swappers guide doesn't have a 54 only 17087264. IT says for 85-87 f-body 5.0L multec injectors.

I see you've got a 90+ TBI car. The best bet is to repin your existing harness for a 730 and add the additional injector plugs.

You'll need a yellow 32 pin connector to do the 730 thing.

Wiring diagrams can be found at the www.diy-efi.org FTP site. Or I can send you copies via email. cheers, BW
