There's a reason I bought a 1986 Camaro service manual when I swapped 1986 Camaro TPI into my car.

I'm swapping the engine harness from an '89 TPI into a '87 LG4 car...and I cannot find the C221 connector on the engine harness. If I read your last statement correctly, in '89 it didn't exist...so since I'm using John Millican's diagram which refers to making the connection to the C221 - what do I do?

Thanks.

My notes were from GM's books (Helm Inc.). In 1989, there isn't a C221 connectors. In 1986-1988 there was.
From your computer, there should be a bulk of wires going to the engine bay and then a smaller batch going to the right side of the car. In 1986-1988 there was two connectors ... a large double row and a small black rectangle (C221). In 1989, C221 disappeared and the wires were in the large doublerow (IE. cold start was gone, so one spare wire in the harness).
Best bet is to read the diagrams for your year of car.

Well, I have the factory manual from '87 - but not the one from the donor car which was an '89.
John Millican created a document which I was passed from another member here that contained the modifications needed to the IP wiring harness. I guess I should toss that out since it appears it was created from a different year of donor. Right? Even prior to asking this, I've noticed some changes in wire colors from what is actually in my car.

Now, I'm a bit lost. lol. I'm not the best at electrical diagrams.
Thanks!

OK, I did a search for pinouts of the C207 connector for '87 (my car) and an '89 (the engine harness). I found an '87 camaro pinout. It appears it may be different from the IP connector in my '87 Firebird. Did the factory have different wiring for firebirds vs camaros? My FSM has the connector, but no pinouts like I've found here.
The pinout locations are identical...
The '87:
