tpi l98 cam ?

I have a l98 from a 89 firebird gta and was wondering were i can find the specs on the cam. Also could you give me some recommendations on upgrading the cam. the engine is stock the only thing i have done is put the hooker 2055 with 3 inch highflow cat and catback. but am plainning other mods in future (funds are low)

Check the cam tech article on this website. I think its like 207/213, .415/.430, and 117 LSA for an 89 L98 cam.

what is the displacement on your engine? I assume you have a 305. it doesnt matter i guess. the LT1 is good, but more up top power where TPI dont like it, ZZ4, and then LT4 hot cam. Also many cams from crane, comp, etc are all good.. it really depends on heads, TC and gears.. and where you wana go. Also, depends on if you have a roller block or flat tappet cam stock. what year is your car?

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh he HAS the engine... i thought he ment the cam... oh sorry bout that... disregard the first few lines there... but deff swap out the cam...

what is the max cam lift on the 89' l98 heads that you can get away with without binding and such?
