tpi problem

I have a 90' l98 iroc my problem is when Im trying to just cruise the car always pulsates and the rpms jump up and down a little. Like it wants to downshift like I was getting on it. Does anyone know what this could be???

How much are the RPM changing? How are the RPM at idle?

Sometimes almost 300 rpms. They are fine at idle.

If you have an automatic, it sounds like the TC is locking and unlocking. When the convertor locks, the RPM's will drop about 300 RPM. It kind of feels like a mild shift.
