Will Stock TPI Work O.K. With My Engine??
I recently bought an 87 T/A with a 305 TPI. I'm currently swapping all the parts over from my totaled 84 Firebird. In about a month I'll be swapping the engines over. The engine I have is a 300hp chevy crate. It's the same engine as the Vortec 350 330hp without the heads. Here's the specs of the engine

Do you guys think I could use the stock TPI on this engine? I'm trying to keep this as low buck as possible. I know I'll need new injectors, prom, and knock sensor. Any advice would be great.
Thanks
Frank

With that engine, you could use the 305 chip, injectors, and knock sensor and be just fine with the addition of an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. Port / remove the EGR wall in plenum while you have it off, that’ll help give a little more air to the 350. Later on if you decide to pump up the power, you’ll want to upgrade the injectors and chip.

I am about to do a very similar upgrade to my car. I am going to use the GM crate 350 HO I think. I will have to burn a chip for that one I am pretty sure.
Then down the line I will switch to an aftermarket induction system.
