cold start injector plug problems

i just got a cold start injector plug from street and performance. the thing is supposed to fill the hole in the runner where the csi went, but mine doesn't even fit. also, there is no o-ring or anything on it....I don't see how this will work. anybody ordered this before and know how it is supposed to go?

I blocked mine off last week because it was leaking. I used black rtv and a small piece of sheet metal. Took about five minutes, it's no longer leaking.

I suspect it may need to be pounded in there or something, because without a gasket it's gonna leak unless it's really tight. You should call/email the place you got it from.

If it appears to be too big, stick it in the freezer over night and then tap it into place quickly (before it warms back up) The interfearnace fit is what seals the hole, doesn't need an O ring.

Probably a press fit item. The plug should be about .005 bigger than the hole it goes into. Might take a bit of effort to get it in there, I'd use some wood for protection and a hammer, and check it along the way to make sure its going in straight.

Out of curiousity, how much did that run ya? I have to get one, the nut on the fuel rail decided to come loose last time out for no apparent reason and that was NO FUN!

the plug was $5.00 and i also bought a threaded fuel rail plug w/ an o-ring for $15.00. well worth it IMO. I've heard that accell sells a CSI blockoff kit but it's alot more expensive than 20 dollars.
