I have a 350 tpi iroc with a 700r4 tranny with a trans go shift kit in it. What mods should i do to my car that are fairly cheap and get the best results and where should i set my transmission to shift at? Thanks guys
here's a few
When I had my 88 350 TPI IROC. The first thing that I did was make a custom ram air set up. It is easy . Just removethe driving lights and run some dryer vent tubing up to your filters. Get some better filters. And definatley get some gears. Next swirch they rear defrost swtich on the dash with the driving lights switch, Hide you a NOS bbottle in the compartment in the trunk. That's where switching the switches come in.. The new "driving lights switch" AKA the NOS switch .. Perfect sleeper ability
Killed many stangs with that. Not that I had to use the JUICE much

You should really search - but I'll humor this post as well.
Personally I went from high 14's to low 14's with some very simple stuff. Namely good ignition (i use accell 8.8mm wires with accell cap and rotor), cut airboxes (totally easy, noticeable difference), tb foil (helps a bit, very cheap on ebay), and a mildy reworked 700R4. Car is in signature.
When I first got it, bone stock I grabbed a 14.9, and this was before a major tune up (it needed it). After the tune up, and the mods done so far the car is capable of 14.3s with very good launching. I usually grab 14.5s all night, but the car is definitely capable of 14.3s. Oh and FYI my elevation at my track is 2200 ft above sea level. So clip off at least .25 adjustment, and the car is very close to high 13's.
