HSR installation
HSR installation
I just put a holley stealth ram intake on my GTA and after some modifying, I got it to fit...BUT I took 2 sensors off the front of my old TPI intake and only one of them fits my Stealth ram. Do I need both? they both look like temp sensors...I also have my old TPI base, plenum and runners for sale if anyone wants em.

Well, yes and no..
You probably took the CTS (neeeded...without a doubt) and the Cold Start injector plug off...which isn't absoluetly needed....but you'd want to have an eprom burned from an '89, w/o vats..assuming your GTA dies not have VAT's.

Uhh..so...I'll...speak...slower..
You most likely rmoved he CTS (CoolantTemp sensor) that is used for the ECM...YOU NEED THIS!!!!
Other one was the CSI (Cold Start Injector)...that since you "have the prom thing covered" will no longer be needed.
Got it?

in order to get that other sensor working again and will need to buy a reducing fitting.
Mike he said he took 2 sensors off the front of hisintake and if I recall, the CSI is on the side of the intake. whatever the case if the 2 sensors are needed then a threded brass reducing fitting will be needed and can be bought at any parts store

the larger sensor is for the cold start injector. not needed any longer because of no 9th injector. toss it. the smaller one is the coolant temp sensor for the ECM. needed. keep it.
